We Scored at Chaparral WMA!!!

My 14 year old daughter, Katie, who has been hunting since she was 7, was drawn for Youth Gun Deer Either Sex at Chaparral WMA. It was an outstanding hunt! After patiently passing several good bucks, she shot the buck of a lifetime at sunrise on the last morning. He’s a 6.5 year old, 132 lbs field dressed, 14 point with a 169 6/8 gross score. Qualifies for Texas Big Game Awards! We got it done on public land in under 68 hours! Thank you Chaparral!!!

Thanks! I still can’t believe it! Had to go out to the garage freezer a couple of times today just to put my hands on it. She and I have been telling the story to friends and family. It’s been a great father daughter bonding experience!
