Hello Everyone, I just wanted to let the world know that tomorrow is opening day for archery deer hunting at lake grapevine and yours truly did win a lottery seat.

Good luck. Some nice potential out there if you put in the work. I have more other hunting planned than I have time to work in, so I passed on the deer lottery this year. I did not want to take a spot from someone who could make better use of the permit. You might hear me shoot a duck or two though.

Have not been around to even scout it yet this season. Went from hog hunting Carthage to Opening Weekend of Deer Season near Graham, then straight from there to Port Oconnor Redfish fishing for a few days. I am only home for a couple before heading to East Texas hunting Hogs and a Squirrel hunt. Going to scout a new to me public duck hunting place near Henderson and may or may not do a duck hunt or two before heading home again. I retired a year ago yet still having trouble finding time to fit in all the stuff I was looking forward to having time to do. I want to stay married so am sure I will start settling in for more close to home hunting including the Vine by late season.
