Parking on Texas Public Lands

Parking on Texas Public Lands - 11/01/18 03:43 PM

For you TX Public Land veterans - mainly SHNF and DCNF hunters --> Rules on parking? Most places I've been they don't mind if you just pull off an MVUM road and park (as long as you aren't blocking traffic). Is that okay in the SHNF and DCNF or do they enforce parking at a camp or in a designated parking area?

Excellent, that's what I like to hear. I hate places that don't let you just pull off the road smile Thanks for the info!

Keep all valuables out of sight.

I'm always reading stories of break-ins happening at SHNF.

Ugh, always hate to hear there are thieves around. As a general rule though I keep everything out of sight and locked, so hopefully I won't be reporting back that someone stole my stuff.
