Bastrop State Park

After 5 years of trying, my son finally got drawn on a youth hunt. Bastrop State Park for January 2-3-4. Either Sex. Last year was first hunt since the fire and there was a 40% success rate. Anyone's son/daughter go on that hunt last year ? Looking for any tips/suggestions. No blinds provided, so will bring a couple of pop-up blinds and make two set-ups after scouting our "compartment" Friday afternoon after check-in/orientation. Baiting allowed, so will bring a lot of corn. Anyone have good luck with any other "attractant" that has brought deer in within a day of putting it out ?
