Tangent Theta?

I’m not looking to buy one, but these are very expensive scopes. Nobody here seems to talk about them, or I missed the discussion. Some of you serious long distance shooters must have opinions. Are these scopes the equal of NF scopes for long distance work? On a few other forums, they speak of these scopes as being handmade in Heaven.

They are solid. A bit more limited in reticle options but have some nice features like tool less zero. They are essentially a rebadged premier heritage with a few changes. The glass itself is as one would expect from top tier glass.

SnipersHide has a plethora of threads on Tangent Theta with many head to head comparisons. They are the “crème de la crème” of scopes. They have the absolute best glass per reports when comparing clarity. chromatic aberration, FOV, etc etc.. They are almost top in all compared categories. Reported turrets are the best as well. I have played with them several times at SHOT show. Very impressive. Not many people want to pony up to play though for their asking price. I have never had one in the field or side by side comparison to other scopes but if it is everything they say it is I doubt one would regret owning one, other than the price to do so.

Doug at CameraLand twisted my arm and I bought one a couple years ago from him. I have not regretted it.
It’s got it all and my only complaint would be price. It amazes me that once you sight in and loosen turret to zero it that once you tighten it back it somehow resets the Zero Stop. shocked it’s magic.
I have used it past couple years on a 6.5 PRC for hunting.

Last month I mounted it on a Bergara HMR 6.5 Creedmoor and used it to compete in the JP Steel Safari and it never missed a beat nor did the rifle.....ehh shooter was weak link.

No, they are generally considered above NF performance.

Interesting description. I don't have either brand. Why would you make such a distinction? Just curious.

Tangent are prone to have issues when rings are over torqued would be one indication.

Heck most people here complain about hunts costing as much as those scopes. The scopes themselves considered the very top end. Id love one but just can’t make myself do it

IMO, NF are made for, and have U-Tube videos, as an indestructible scope. I've seen one of a scope frozen in a block of ice then the block being beaten open with a hammer the scope removed mounted and still holding zero lol

Tangent is amazing optics, excellent tactile turrets but are not made with the NF mindset of going to battle

And I love that about NF. I know it is unlikely for my scope to break down on a hunt, or in a rifle match. NF scopes never cause me to miss anything. I can do that all on my own.
