Time for IR class

Time for IR class - 09/02/21 03:05 PM

After a recent hog hunt failure, my father and I have the itch. Need to be schooled on nv be thermal and what would be best for us. Scope will go on a 6.5 creed bolt gun that I have no other need for. Budget is $750 plus or minus a little. Will be used both for sitting over feeders and open pasture. I like the clear daytime photo of nv but not sure what I’d be loosing.

I don't think anyone has a thermal in the $750 range. I got a Wraith 4k MAX 3-24 for about that from Cameraland during one of their sales. I'm going to mount it on an AR this weekend.

Thermal is much higher than $750. You can get digital night vision in that range.

This is a good suggestion. You could go a bit less and get the Wraith HD as another option.

For the money, I don't think you can beat the Sightmark Wraith. I have the 2-16x28 with an upgraded IR illuminator. These two clips were the first I recorded with it. The upgraded IR illuminator made a huge difference in night illumination over what is shown here. JMO.

Thanks guys. I messed up in my original post, price line is $1750 not $750. I’m not sure I can get into thermal for that price either though.
