Looking to mount a Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16x42 scope on a Savage 116 300 Winchester Magnum.
Anybody know if I need "Medium" or "High" rings?

If the objective lens is smaller than 50mm, then you're most likely good with mediums. If 50 or larger, then probably high but hard to tell unless u get them.
Note, getting high rings on most standard savage hunting rifles means you'll need to build up the cheekrest height.

What rings/base are you using? If your are using a pic rail mediums will be plenty.

I ordered the Leupold 2-piece that fits Savage 10 through 16.
