Sighting in question... - 04/12/20 04:00 AM
I have a rifle (7-08AI) that has a MIL scope on it. I just mounted the scope and after bore sighting it, I set up at 45 yards away to try to dial in, before moving to 100 yards to set my zero. I had thrown this scope on my buddies rifle previously and set the zero stop. Well, it started to rain and I didn’t have time to finish sighting in and ran out of travel since I had set the zero previously. so I decided to end the range session.
Wanting to get it to zero at 100. So at 45 yards I am 10” high and 3” left of bullseye.
If I were to try to correct it to be dead center bullseye at 100, what would my adjustments be? Wanting to get it as close as possible before I hit the range next, to hurry this up so I can start getting DOPE out to 400.
I’m thinking I have to right answer, but figured this might be a fun test question to ask the THF.
