It came yesterday. I couldn't find anything wrong with it. I didn't get a chance to run it side by side against my older Leupold, but I ranged 8-10 things from 44 to 789 yards this morning, both away from and into the sun, and it worked just fine. The way the box and everything was sealed I'm not so sure mine wasn't new. Given that Midway had some of the scopes as well, I suspect these were demos that Sig freshened and dumped on the market. I would buy it again.

Kick it 20 or 30 yards down the driveway so that it becomes blemished, and you can use it.

Now they are 56% off. $216. Pretty tempting...

Dang. I just got a Vortex Ranger 1800 not long ago. Oh well...

With regards to the new BDX 3000 bino/rf unit, when you download the ballistic app on your phone you're able to feed ballistic profiles for your loads into the unit via bluetooth, and it will show you how many mils/moa to dial out to 800 yds for that given profile. Does this RF unit do the same thing, limited to 800 yds? I understand you need to pair it with a kestrel to go out any further for the bino/rf unit.

I think you are wrong, Pitchfork. I’m reading the owners manual and it says via the app I can download custom loads into the RF so that when you range something it will give you the MOA or MIL.

That’s a great buy if it does read out Mil/MOA like the binoculars do. I got word that my Kestrel 5700 AB paired with the Sig binoculars was working great in Africa so I bet it would do the same with this RF if that’s the case.

Downloaded the app. Yes, syncing with my phone I was able to add bullet weight, velocity, and BC and the RF will tell you ( in ABU mode) what the holds are.

If you happen to range a target past 800yds please report back and let us know if it will give you the holds past 800 if you don't mind. Tha nks for the help.

Ok, went out to Ransom Canyon. It stops giving you the adjustments between 725 and 800. Several in the 740-770 range were not given; everything under 726 gave a MIL adjustment. Ranged several houses from 1100 to 1255, several rock outcroppings from 550 to 1310. This was after I downloaded the bullet info-it did not have to be paired with the phone to work.

Will look for some cows on the way home later.
