Who's tried the Swarovski X5

Who's tried the Swarovski X5 - 03/02/18 02:05 AM

So has anybody tried the X5's? I am first and foremost a trophy deer hunter and I really like the Swarovski glass. The turrets on the Z series scopes did not do it for me but I am intrigued by the X5's. I am in the planning stages now for a new whitetail rifle. Probably a sporter style 280 with a 24" barrel. The first priority for the scope is really good glass. Second priority is relatively trim and light. Would like to keep scoped weight around 8lb. Needs to be a trim, good handling sporter weight rifle when I'm done. How ever I scope it, I am going to avoid the Dolly Parten look. Dialing distance has not been a priority for me on my hunting rigs, but working up loads and stretching it out might help me get through the dog days of summer. So how bout it anybody tried the X5?

I have shot behind a 5x25 a good bit. I like the turret on top...very positive. I am a FFP guy--and really like the bushnell G2 ret. and the leupold TMR so most of my stuff now uses those ret. I also prefer capped windage--but do not think you will be dissiapointed

I have three Swaro's a Z3-Z5-Z6 my experience with them is 100% great.

I really like the X-5, great adjustments and price point wont kill ya. Perfect longrange hunting scope, but I'm bias towards Swaro's

Thanks for the feedback. Anyone else have any experience with the turrets on the X series scopes?
