thermosight Pro PTS233 320 1.5X - 6X resloution ?

ok which is correct ?

some sites advertise it at 30hz some at 60hz

optical: (digital zoom)some advertise it as 1.5-6x & some as either 2x or 4x

will it digitally zoom from 1.5 to 6x or do you only have a 2 step digital zoom either 2x or 4x

inquiring minds want to know since I ordered one

Low end is 1.5x. Specs show 4x is tops. If this unit is like all the other FLIR unit, you tap the zoom in button, and it jumps to 2x, tap again and it goes to 4x. If you are in 1.5x and press and hold the zoom, it will roll through the magnification, like 1.6. 1.7, 1.8, 1.9. etc, all the way up. Specs show 60Hz. Also, verify the part number of the unit you want. There are some places that do have wrong specs or info on the thermal products I have seen. Verify the item with the part #.

I have one. 1.5 native magnification. 2xdigital=3 power. 4xdigital=6 power. Mine does not scroll, if you press and hold the zoom button, it clears the reticle from the screen. Tap button to 2,4 and back to native 1.5. It is 60hz.

Don't be afraid to ask your dealer for his expert advise on stuff like this. That's what dealers are there for, I'm sure he'd be glad to help and he should have all these answers or at least be able to get them.

The PTS233's were announced as 30Hz but later the FLIR sent us updated info that said the PTS233's were actually 60Hz. I'm not sure if it was a change they made or just a mistake in their specifications. Hope you enjoy the scope, can't wait to see some videos of your kills.
