Zeiss Conquest Hd 5 ???

I just purchased a 6.5 CM and want to mount some nice glass on it. I was looking hard at the Swarovski Z3 or Z5 and then stumbled on the Zeiss Conquest HD 5 on Cabela's site. They have the 3-15 x 42 on sale for $699.

This will primarily be a hunting rifle. Any thoughts on the Zeiss compared to the Swarovski?

I don't own a Swaro and their glass quality sets the bar from everything I read. I do have a Zeiss HD5 5-25 and it is by far my favorite scope. I think you will be very happy especially for the price.

We have that on a wood stock tikka 270. Better then my vx3 4.5-14x40 in most ways. I paid a bit fhab that a few years ago. No complaints

Great glass for sure. I have a Conquest 4.5-14x50 on a 30-06. I would put the Z3 along with the Conquest and the Z5 along with the HD5.

I'd go with Swarovski. I have 7 of the original Conquests and they are awesome scopes. So I bought a ZeissHD 5-25x50 last year and compared to the original conquest it was a real disappointment! The glass isn't as good and the mechanics are pretty poor as well. I won't buy another one. I'm sure their more expensive scopes are still awesome but if I were you I'd buy a swaro over a zeiss.

Same here... I have a HD5 3-15 on my 300 Win Mag. Great scope...love it.
