Burris Timberline scope with 32mm objective? - 11/21/14 02:27 AM
I was wondering if anyone else has a small millimeter objective such as a 32mm? I am asking because I have a Burris Timberline with a 32mm objective on my 1894 marlin cowboy limited in 44mag. On a couple of evening hunts I was disappointed with I
the scope's light gathering capabilities, on one occasion It looked hazy and not clear but that I fault to the setting sun for causing the haziness. I understand that being that it has a 32mm it will not gather light at dawn or dusk as a scope with a 40mm objective or larger but I just hate the limitations with it overall it is a good scope, it is both clear and crisp and works great under perfect conditions but when hunting their are not many perfect conditions and most of the shot opportunities are either close to dawn and dusk at low light conditions. I know I could probably get a larger objective scope but wanted to keep a smaller more compact scope on the levergun. I guess I will just have to live with it's limitations and will lose a few minutes of shooting light due to the scope.
