compared the Nikon prostaff 3.5-15 to the vortex (as close of model I could find) the Nikon was noticeably clearer.

I like my Nikons. I have several.
Never owned a Vortex, though. I hear lots of folks like like them.

read online some warranty work with vortex ..guys truck caught on fire and he sent in the remains of his vortex they sent him a new one..

Their warranty is top notch, I have used it. The glass leaves a lot to be desired IMO

for the price..its very hard to beat!
I have been using the Vortex Diamondback series and have been very impressed! Had my reservations and after using their scopes and binocs for a year now, I'm a believer! Great products, great warranty, great price. NY Camera Exchange has great deals on display models... They buy a lot that have been displayed at gun shows that can not then be sold 'as new' - so they out a nice discount on them. Worth looking into!
