Walmart Stuff - 09/03/19 06:04 PM

Walmart to stop Alaska handgun sales, end sales of short-barrel rifle and handgun ammo nationwide. Walmart also asked that customers no longer openly carry firearms into their stores or Sam’s Clubs in states where open carry is permitted.

Cnn article stated they will stop selling "ammunition commonly used in assault-style weapons". I wonder if those idiots realize that means no .223, .300 blk, .308, 7.62, etc......In the end, oh well. Wally world is the only place I consistently worry about getting stabbed in the store and parking lot.

Stopping the sell of certain ammunition won't do anything.....
I'll just go somewhere else and get it

Re: Walmart Stuff - 09/04/19 12:45 AM

I've never bought anything firearm related from WalMart, and often wondered why they bothered. No one at the counter. And given the 400 lb heifer's who shop in their pajamas/house shoe's wouldn't buy either.

Irregardless, their decision does nothing but appease a few libturd's who will applaud.

Maybe they and DSG should join forces and rename the store DickMart.

Yes sir

Went to one of our local Walmart stores to see if it was on clearance and it was business as usual. Nothing marked down and still plenty of pistol rounds and .223's.

Re: Walmart Stuff - 09/05/19 01:39 PM

Why would they be marking anything down? What is the incentive?
They just created an artificial demand by saying they will stop selling certain ammo.

And now the OC Texas guys are pushing the issue and OC'ing in Walmart anyway
https://thehill.com/homenews/news/4...equest-not-to-open-carry-guns-into-store

They are going to end up causing Walmart to post their stores with the 30.07 notices.

So what’s the harm in that? If they don’t want people open carrying them post the signs. They have always had a policy to not allow OC but have never enforced it until now. I just saw a video of someone open carrying in Walmart and they called the police and banned him from all stores nationwide.

We were not there and don’t know the whole story so I’ll just say this.... If someone is being a fool in their store, that is their prerogative. They are a private business. confused2

You absolutely could not be more wrong. You have not seen a 400 pound heifer in there! The 400 pound “heifers” always have 3 or 4 “calves” running along with them. Heifer, right!

Our Walmarts still sell plenty of ammo. Its the cheapest place around for WWB.

Re: Walmart Stuff - 10/16/19 02:05 PM

We'll likely see a reversal of quite a bit of this anti-2nd amendment nonsense (quietly) now that Greg Foran is no longer the CEO of Walmart US Division (Not to be confused with the overarching Walmart corporate - lots of Walmart companies in the mix) - What did anyone expect when the company was being led by some pansy [censored] liberal from New Zealand? The new CEO (I believe from Arkansas) already stated he didn't want Walmart employees to confront open carry people unless they had a reason to - in other words, leave open carry people alone. Only a matter of time until the gun/ammo sales nonsense goes away as well - they probably won't even announce it, you'll just not see the ammo disappear LOL

Re: Walmart Stuff - 10/18/19 12:30 PM

I generally pick up a few boxes of ammo every time I am near Walmart - about every ten days or so. I am always amazed at how fast it stacks up, a few boxes at a time.
Had some family visiting this week, so I stopped by Walmart and picked up:
Brass Federal 9mm @ 16 cents/round
Brass Federal .223 @ 28 cents/round
Federal 12ga 2-3/4" #4 for $3.00 per box on closeout.

May not be the lowest prices that can be had, but reasonable and convenient for me. I will keep buying if they keep selling.
