Charcoal Grill Build - 10/10/16 05:17 PM

Been trying to get away from using propane, and the smoker is kinda big so wanted a designated charcoal grill. Bought a kit from Paul at You-Weld-It in Gatesville, and he has a bunch of other cool stuff.

I modified some of the things and added flat bar, rebar grate, etc, but overall turned out pretty good.

Look up You Weld It if you're in need of some things and don't feel like cutting it all.

Yes. There's way too many Tech folks on my street and neighborhood, and they like to come over and eat.

the main problem with grills is the meat is too close to the fire ------- it needs to be 8-9 inches between fire and meat ----------judging by your pics you will have to put the meat on one side and fire on the other side, indirect heat method.
