This was very Pinteresting

Sometimes I get asked to build different things, I usually do it and don't ask what's it's for. My sister called and said her friend wanted a giant set of lips I told her they have injections for that. She said you're real funny, I'll send a pic. I don't know why but I guess she wanted lips on her wall and was willing to pay $100 so by God I'm gonna make some lips. I know this probably shouldn't be on a site like this but I figured what the heck it's interesting if nothing else.

I looked at the picture she sent and gathered up scrap from the coffee table I built earlier. I rolled out freezer paper and drew some lips.
After I cut em out I just layed different width boards on top of the pattern to cover then put the pattern on top and traced around it.

Then I just cut the lines on each board putting it back in its place until I had em all cut.

Then I used scrap to tie em all together using finish nails until I had the top and bottom made. I guess they don't go together according to my instructions from her.

Then I just flipped em over used a 60 grit disk on the grinder to grind down the nails and knock the rough off and I had a set of lips. I used the brightest red paint I had to paint them and sent her a pic. She loves it, you just made $100. Easiest hundo I ever made, took about an hour.

Don't think less of me for making crafts, I need money to finish my boat project since all my cash just went to putting a transmission in my Land Cruiser.

Excellent work. It really is amazing what a woodworker will be asked to make or build. So far no lips for me.

Nice work, not a bad way to make a quick $100!

What Land Cruiser do you have? I'm a LC fan.

Not often but I do search there first when there's a problem.
