Width and Age (a departure from the classic age and score thread title)

Width and Age (a departure from the classic age and score thread title) - 11/15/21 10:12 PM

This guy has been camped out in this spot for the last two years and had a similar frame last year.

Let’s get some age and width guesses going, and maybe we’ll have a definitive answer soon…

Don't trust my answer as I don't really know how to judge scores from pictures, only tape measures....but to me he looks over 20" wide. Are you planning on ground checking him?

24" to 25" inside is what I can see, but no head on facing the camera view is difficult. 48" more or less up and 102" more or less down. So around 147 to 150. 5 or maybe 6 on age from those pics. Let Granny shoot him grin

Granny claims she is retired at nearly 94 years old, but it wouldn't surprise anyone if she changed her mind.

Thanks for all the feedback. I think he's pushing 24 inches wide, but I also think he may be a 5 year old. With that frame, the smart move is probably to see what he can do with another year. He didn't make much of a jump from last year, but last year was a pretty exceptional year for antlers on our place. Tough call on this one. We've got some guests, including a few kids on the calendar that would be really happy to hunt this guy. And the State of Texas says we need to kill 15 bucks, sooooooo
