Injured deer question/opinion

We have a this year's fawn that has injured their front left leg below the knee. Looks like to me its been broken/dislocated at some point. I cant tell if this is a new injury(week or two old) or its been that way awhile. We haven't been up in 3/4 weeks but saw her over the weekend and every night since. She seems to keep up with her mom and gets around without putting much weight on the leg. She comes to the feeder and eat and grazes not showing any sign of severe pain. I know deer can over come a lot but sure don't want the deer in agony. I have plenty of mld tags so could use one on the deer but if the deer can survive and isnt in constant pain Id let it go and see what happens. When she runs she doesn't stay up with mom but she doesn't fall down either just runs 3 legged. I dont have any pics unfortunately. So any thoughts appreciated on the situation.

Use a tag or let nature take its course. Either one is ok by me for a wild animal.

Let Mother Nature take her course. If pity is needed, just take care of business.

I bet the deer would rather you not mercy kill it. They're tough animals.

We had a doe show up about 10 years ago that was three legged she had lost it above the knee. My first thought was to take her out. But I didn’t for some reason. Turned out the next season She had two fawns with her. Both turned out to be bucks. That happen for three more years then she just disappeared. So you never know

You might improve her chances just a bit by hammering any coyotes you happen to see.

I never give coyotes or hogs a pass, deer season or no deer season.

Im with you on that, coyotes go immediately. Saw her tonight before the rain hit and she was acting the same. Guess Im over thinking it because its still a fawn. Probably just let it be for now since she seems to be eating fine and staying up with the heard. Appreciate the responses.

If the bone isn't thru the skin she will heal. I have seen this many times in fawns.

Ive got an 8 point buck on camera that has had a huge wound on his flank/hind leg for at least 2 months. My only guess is he was hit by a car as it is close to a hwy. He is doing fine now.

I say let nature takes its course, will animals are as tuff and fearless as mother nature, if its been keeping up for over 3-4 weeks its got a solid chance of making it, would be easy to keep track of too.

Deer are tough. I'd let it keep going and see what happens.
