Game Camera Question - 08/31/21 09:32 PM

Hello All!!!

I am wondering if anyone has any reviews on the newer Spypoint cameras or have used the other options out there for Cellular Game Cams that can give some feedback. I have been running Spypoints fairly easily but the reviews for their newest one dont look too good, so I figured I would ask before purchasing for myself and our landowner who wants to put something that will text pics to them when someone comes on the property. Like I said, I am open to options though I have used Spypoint before. I just want to make sure before spending around $100 for the camera and whatever a plan would run me that I am making the best decision for my money. Thanks for any feedback and suggestions!!!

I have older Spypoints and they take decent day pics and average night pics. The older ones have issues with senstivity and they take random photos all day long of weeds, grass, shadows, refection or anything moving. I would look into Brownings and from what I have seen they take really good photos.

I have Stealth Cam Fusion and Stealth Cam Reactor. These cameras are pretty darn good (loaded with options and you control all settings on your phone through the app) They come in the AT&T or Verizon option (must pick one or other at time of purchase)

I have heard Tactacam Reveal are very good, but nearly impossible to find.

I have 3 fusions going and absolutely love them with the solar/battery units attached to them.
I actually when and pulled a card a few weeks ago and downloaded the pics to my computer and couldn't believe the great image quality of the pictures.

Good luck with Spypoint, you will need it. I have one that worked great for 2 months. Then it started to have problems connecting in west tx. Was AT&T model. Have AT&T service on my phone with with 4 bars there and camera got zero. Carried it home to dallas and it worked for 2 days. went to website and they said to load new software. Did that and it never connected again. I have sat on hold for hours trying to get help with no avail. In short its junk. Looking at Browning now.

Damn
That really stinks!
Sorry you had bad luck with the camera.

I've noticed that on all 3 of the fusion cameras I'm running they will have almost exactly the same signal strength on them as does my phone in the spots I set them. They seem to be fairly accurate with the signal strength bar they have....at least on the ones i have to this point.

We use Brownings...Very happy with them. All take real good daytime photos...The lower end cameras night time photos leave a little to be desired.

Stealth Cam or muddy is all I run - Fusion and Reactor.

Plan on picking up the new DS4K model which takes pics in 4K. This model comes with verizon and Att cards
