Those of you with cameras out, what kind of deer numbers are you seeing?

About the same as normal or fewer (perhaps due to the big freeze).

I am seeing fewer but animals coming to the feeder in the heat is always random. and range conditions are really good for this time of year.

I think it most of the areas have had really good rainfall and there is enough natural forage to satisfy them this year. My first time to run cams on my new place but I have no problem with deer numbers on cams. August feed consumption in the Hill Country was always the highest for the year due to lack of green forbs this time of the year and poor browse to start with. Based on what I am feeding I am seeing about the correct number of deer for the feed consumption. Only feeding two protein feed pens right now but that will change in the next week or so. It was wet in May and then rained more in June into early July. Feed consumption was much lower till about 2 weeks ago now. That coincides with the temps going from upper 80's to low 90's to upper 90's now. Hitting 100 is going to happen in the next day or so. I am getting pics of mature bucks at the feeders all hours of the day no matter what the temps are. I see a lot of deer on cams in the heat of the day in the feed pens. Two days ago late one afternoon, I saw a group of bucks on the county road or just getting ready to cross it. They were coming from a tank and feeder there and heading into a freshly cut coastal hay field. There were 5 bucks in the road or across the fence and then another group of 10-12 younger bucks in the other group. For Hill Country deer there were 5 that were really nice bucks. At least 3 of the 5 were mature and the other 2 were moving away from the road but looked to be at least middle aged if not mature. The other group had two older bucks and the rest were all very young bucks. Winter was dry and bad like most areas of the state but the deer did well.
There is no shortage of deer in the ditches or in the pasture land close to the highways or county roads along my travels from McCulloch County thru Mason County and in Gillespie County. No shortage of deer hit by vehicles either.

I've been driving Lubbock to Goldthwaite almost every weekend. I'm seeing at least as many as prior years from Winters to Gwaite. In Mills county, I'm seeing TONS of deer, maybe record numbers. The very back of our place is ~2miles from the house (by curvy roads); it's regular to see 30-40 at the right time of the day. It helps that the neighbor dozed all the cedar on his 240 acres but they're all over his place too.

I haven't pulled the card at my lake feeder, but the ones hitting the feeder behind the house are mostly does and a few yearlings. The yearlings are a little bit ahead of the ones from last year as far as antlers. Only 4 of the 11 does have fawns with them, with one of them having twins. Lots of the does are last years fawns that didn't get bred or lost them. Neighbors a half mile away say they have seen some nice bucks already. Will try and pull the card and put out another camera before Monday.

I'm seeing less at the feeders. But everything and I mean everything is so green in east Texas.

I'm see as many as I ever had. My feeders are getting hit hard. It's been a good wet summer.

I was in Bracketteville this past weekend and it's really green out there, the deer really aren't hitting the feeders to hard. They are hitting the cotton seed pretty good, but the feeders that are running are growing corn under them. The deer on camera is about normal, but you can see a lot of deer eating outside of the pins.

Seeing a lot. Have had protein running all year and started corn last week so hopefully will see much more when we pull this weekend. There are always a few bucks groups that dominate the protein feeders but then tend to only make up ~50% of the deer we will actually see come survey time so putting in corn is always exciting
