What do y'all think about this guy?

Got some trail cam pics of him recently, had never seen him before. He is a 6pt, forks and dog catchers.

I’m not normally one to say let him go but I am now, he’s still got milk on his lips. Those are the ones that turn into freaks given some age.

Cull buck. He's at least 2.5. I'd arrow him.

He's 2.5, IMO. If you have plenty of other 2.5s that are better, take him. If not, then pass.

I guess he could be 3 but the above would still apply.

Cull back and would take him out for sure.

You got to do what you got to do. Personally I would hope someone would shoot him. He is not helping the herd. If you don't maybe a neighbor will do it.

To me, looks like another year needed to definitively class as a 4yo cull but it's your place and your call to make..

Well heck, if we had known he was the shooter the answer would of been easy. Great!!!

Debating how old I think he is. Was 145 lbs on the hoof 120 dressed. Hocks were stained and he stunk. Teeth show some wear but nothing monumental, but most of our deer don’t show a lot. I’m planning to send the teeth in to be aged.

I wish he was the shooter but it will be a few more years for him probably. He did have a fun sit with dad though.

I think he’s a middle age buck. At least 3, maybe rutted down 4.

I think you made the right decision. I personally don't think he would have ever made a really good Buck no matter how many more years.

I shot him as a big 6. We have more than enough deer so don't see the point of saving him. I'm really perplexed on his age. I don't think he is 2. He shows similar tooth wear to our 5-6 year old bucks we have history with and have sent teeth off to have aged, but he is about 50 pounds shy on weight to blend in with that age group. We have shot some deer that were old as the hills old but they showed substantially more wear than this guy. He doesn't seem to fit in with any of our norms.

He was stoked! Made me very happy. We had a great sit, he told me to watch out my windows and he would watch out his and to let him know if I saw something and he would do the same... and then he said quit looking out my window lol

I think he was a rutted down 4 year old and you made the exact right call unless you don't have better 4 year olds than that!
