Does he meet the 13” Rule?

Just want to know what y’all think. If this buck would be legal in a 13” rule county.

I have the official tbga score. I will say he had some ground shrinkage when I shot him but still one of my favorite hunts!

Most deers ears are 6 inches long... So I'm gonna say yes he does.

Yes, the ears aren’t in the “alert” position which is used to judge 13inch spread. Easily legal.

Your buddy’s are just wondering why you would shoulder mount that deer. He’s legal by a couple inches.

If he made the TBGA then hes probably worth mounting to most. I assume you have a tape and know but I would say he makes it.

Texas Big Game Awards. Its not a contest and its free. Pretty much co sponsored by TPWD and TWA. It recognizes with a certificate the big game animals in Texas that meet a minimum BC score requirement. The minimums are set by Region. Kind of like the BC book for Texas with much lower score minimums.

If I saw him in the field I’d say he meets the 13”. The fact you have him mounted on your wall also leads me to believe he makes it.

I would say yes for sure and what a pretty buck / rack. I would have done the same !!!

Wow that deer must've had a tiny head and body because that racks looks a lot wider than 14".

If you hunt in an AR county and see a buck like that, you can bet there are bigger bucks out there!
