"Proof of Sex" Requirement when packing in/out - 11/17/20 08:27 PM
Hello,
I had a question regarding the "Proof of Sex" General Hunting Regulation.
Currently my plan is to pack in and camp in a public hunting area and if I was so fortunate as to take a whitetail deer I was going to quarter it and take it back to my vehicle which will be a bit of a hike away. Part of the regulation states that you must retain "Proof of Sex" until its final destination, in this case the cold storage of an ice chest in my car. Will I get in trouble if I quarter in the field and take it to my vehicle even if its a 1-2 hour hike back?
Just for information, I only have some experience hunting and not on a public land area. Placed in "Deer Hunting" because this one is specific to Deer or Pronghorn.
Thank you!
