Rocksprings Hunting????

How was your hunting around Rocksprings, Tx Opening weekend????

We didn't make it but hope to go this weekend.

Our group killed a couple really nice bucks. There was some early rut activity. I was surprised at the quality of some of the bucks I saw at the processor in town.

Edwards county is a huge county. Where in relation to Rocksprings are you referring?

We hunt down HWY 377 on CR 450. Where do you hunt?

We are on highway 41 back towards Garven store, so Mountain Home area. Agree it's a huge area with different characteristics. We've also got a family place down towards Bracketville and that's a different area. Buck quality varies greatly depending primarily on how much country you have to hunt and whether people let the buks get old. If you let your deer get old and take care of your range, you will have some good bucks, but a lot of people just don't do that.

Plainview: I hunted off CR450 as well. Took nice 8 pt. and seen plenty of does.
