Zavalla Area Hunters? - 08/14/20 09:01 PM

We’re on a lease about 10 miles south of Zavalla for the first time this year and don’t know what to expect. Any guys hunt around this area? Any input?
Thanks.

My buddy is from Lufkin, he hunts with us in Coleman for shear number of deer seen. He hunts in Wells & Lovelady too. They are killings some bruiser in East Tx just a lot harder hunting and dealing with hogs.

We definitely have an absolute ton of hogs. They’re ballsy, too. You can walk and talk and get w/in 50-75 yards of them before they run off. I’ll just keep mowing them down via AR10 6.5 and 7.62.

Depends on how big the lease is and how long, and how well, it has been managed. James Kroll, aka Dr. Deer, from SFA started some of his research in that area.

It’s 1,900 acres but this is the first year it’s been managed and is MLD 3.
