2020-2021 License

When will 2020-21 hunting license be available to purchase?

August 15th I believe.

8/15 is the normal date unless Covid pushed it back

8/15 is the date as it stands. I don't see anything changing that date. There are to many convenient ways to get them, including online.

Remember the TPWD is not providing printed versions of the Hunting and Fishing Annual this season so if you see any on the counter they are last year's annual. This year's annual is online only.

A Walmart employee told me they are requiring a email address and phone number this year to purchase a licenses. I find that very hard to believe. Anyone know if it’s true?? There are tons of people without a email.

Not sure TPWD wants the e-mail address as much as WAL-MART does.

TPWD does require SSN, if you aren't already i the system, phone too. It's primarily done to prevent someone from trying to get more than one license for extra tags, which prior to central computers happened often. .

bought my license today. They do require email. I was told it is because TPWD is not printing the regs this year. Instead the are going to email them to you.

Bought mine online yesterday. The app on my phone automatically updates to the new regs.

Same with Creekrunner. Buying on the app is easy and regulations are automatically updated. I got an e-mail the other day saying it was time to renew. The app also allows you to have your license on file as well as your significant others as well if they have one

And they now upload all the previous tags you bought last year so you don't have to searching for the hip, duck stamp, public land tag etc.

Bought mine online today but the App has yet to be updated for 2020/21 regs.
