Runnels County Hunting - 05/04/20 04:32 AM

I am moving on to a new property in Runnels County just west of Ballinger. Has anyone hunted this area that can tell me how the hunting is?

About how far west of Ballinger. Lot of cotton country with most of the deer held on the pasture areas.

Could be great whitetail, turkey, dove, possibly hog hunting defending on location.

You are north of the river, I am south of you by about 15 miles, should be plenty of deer, hogs and dove hunting. Eats are Beefmasters and Alejandras in Ballinger, Lowake Steakhouse in Rowena. The Catholic church has a good Fall Festival in Rowena with carry out meals, I believe it is the second Sunday starting about noon. We also usually. buy a few extra pounds of sausage

New sports bar in Ballinger, I think it is called Maestros just south of Hutchins.HWY67 on I think 8th street. Never been there, nut it is owned by the coach at Olfen school. While I am on Olfen, they also have a Fall Festival, but not sure of the date on that one.
