Printing MLD tags - 05/02/20 12:54 AM

So, I'm going to try the MLD Harvest option on my place this year. Do you guys that do this all the time go to the trouble of printing the tags on waterproof paper, or just print regular tags and put them in zip lock baggies? Thanks.

We print on regular paper and put in zip lock bags when tagging them.

our LO prints the tags on plain paper and we use zip-ties to secure. If it was rainy or wet, we will put in Ziploc bags before using the zip-ties

Thanks for the help! ('Cept for that comment about folks from the last feudal state in the world.) farmer

Printed and ready to go! Only 5 months to go.

Now all I gotta do is kill 'em. And clean 'em. And cool 'em down. And transport them to somebody. 'Gotta get mouths off the place!

you already have your quota and tags? I am not sure our LO & biologist have even started their counts/survey ... haven't asked for game cam pictures either.

'Pretty sure it's the computer, based upon the boundaries you draw. I'm fine with the numbers recommended.

ok, I guess that makes sense based on overall average for the county/counties

I have tried to use this option since its inception. On 240 acres in Young County, it gives me 1 doe tag. No bucks, no spikes...1 doe. I put out way too much time, money and effort to be allotted 1 doe.

I think they base it off deer density and mature bucks. We have 1,000 acres and would get 6 doe and 3 bucks. That's what we shoot each year at the most so doesn't make sense. Honestly we should only shoot less unless we were culling which we don't need to do.
