Great looking buck! Glad he made it and hope he hangs around. Some bucks are like that, we have some that disappear all season and come back and some that show up and stay a few months and then leave.... it would be easier if they just stayed put!

I had one do that to me in the 2015 and 2016 seasons. He would be there all summer and leave as bow season started and show back up around Feburary. I didnt ever see him again in 2017. He is the biggest deer I ever had on camera on my place. I'm sure he made some one a beautiful trophy. I fed him well.

I ask, bc deer seem to have a winter and summer range. During August and September we do our surveys for tpwd. I bet 70% of those bucks I see in the survey leave in October and don't show back up until March. I also get different bucks that show up in October, but never seem them in August. It's happened the past two years too that I've managed this place.
I find it quite intriguing.

I keep looking for the lease where all those big boys go just before the season opens. But, I always find the one they leave.

^^^^ IMO it would be smart to put some thought into Jakes first sentence.... If bucks leave your place to go to neighbors, it makes sense the neighbors should come to yours. We have a real big place and we notice bucks will move around but we are blessed to be able to keep em on us(mostly). My opinion is the majority are still around but just not easily seen.
Also, keep in mind that deer are individuals and there are exceptions to every rule as well as a situation can be very sight specific.
I may of gotten off topic a little, so ill add "nice buck and hope you get him."
