Taken from TPWD: Youth Only Seasons - Whitetail Deer:
Bag Limits, take of antlerless deer, and special requirements:- In Austin, Bastrop, Caldwell, Colorado, Comal (East of I-35), De Witt, Fayette, Goliad (North of US 59), Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays (East of I-35), Jackson (north of US 59), Karnes, Lavaca, Lee, Travis (East of I-35), Victoria (North of US 59), Waller, Washington, Wharton (North of US 59), and Wilson counties, the bag limits, requirements for the take of antlerless deer, and special requirements are the same as the period Nov 28-Dec 1 for each respective county.
- For the remainder of the state, the bag, tag and permit requirements are the same as for the first two days of the general season in the county.
Llano County falls under the second condition so the bag limits "are the same as for the
first two days of the general season in the county.", which is
"Bag Limit 5 deer, no more than 2 bucks, all seasons combined."I do hear the youth-only season referred to as a "doe and spike season," no such thing. It is an excellent time to try to take some of the mature+ bucks that have slipped through the other hunters. I've got a hit list for a long weekend of youth hunters; give me at least two antlerless deer, and they can work that list as well.
