To hijack this thread, since I came to ask the same thing. I can only hunt one morning this week, and it's either tomorrow or Wednesday (either hunt has to be in the morning). My comfort aside here, which day to you hunt? Rain and near freezing temps all night, tomorrow am 30-40 degrees with wind between 20-14 mph but sunshine all day. Wednesday freezing all night, but morning temps between 27-40, very little wind and sunshine.
If overnight rain and that big of a temp drop will keep them bedded most of tomorrow am, I'll go Wednesday. BUT, if the thought is the tough night will get them up earlier I've got no problem being cold and wet if it gives me a better crack at a deer & hunt the cold and wind tomorrow morning.
I'd be waiting for Weds. for sure. More time for things to return to normal (except the temperature). Should be a nicer day. Once the sun gets up and begins to warm things a little you should see good movement. STAY on stand as late in the morning as your schedule allows.
Cold, still mornings can sometimes suppress deer movement...as they tend to want to wait for the sun to rise and warm things a little AND for any kind of reliable wind (for the day) to present itself. You might not see anything 'early' but I'd wager you'll see good movement by 8:30-9:00 a.m. and on through the morning.
That's the day I'll be out there.
