Stephens and Eastland what are you seeing?
I had 11 nice bucks at the corn/protein and poof all have disappeared from
Feeders .

Either acorns have dropped or rut is starting way early

What are y’all seeing?

I'll know Saturday. We don't have acorns at least.

I am seeing new bucks at all hours of the day in singles. The bigger bucks will stop by for a bite or two of corn and off they go. Lots of acorns.

Don't hunt there for deer but spend lots of time there and see buddies cameras. Rut moves them around. Seems there are a few magical days that you need to be there. Buck neighbor took a pic of last year was once of a lifetime only to be seen once but they already punched their tag... I have it. 155+ easily.

I’m just east of Ivan and we have multiple good bucks running around. Lots of activity under Oak trees. I had 2 good bucks standing by a pig pipe about 150 yards from my feeder watching does at feeder.
Looks like it should be a good year for us.

^^^^ This. Bucks didn't show on camera this year early like last year but now starting to see movement and some doe checking/trailing. Headed out this afternoon as last Friday rain day they were on the move

If you have any post oaks on your land that's where you need to set up until the acorns have been eaten and are rotten.

If it is like my place in Eastland county historically they are rutting hard now. Fawn crops also confirm rut late October very early November.

Next door in Callahan County- LOTS of acorns, been two weeks since a camera check so I'm excited for what the weekend brings!

Bucks were hitting feeders hard 2 weeks ago in Stephens while bow hunting. Thankful for the rain and cold front - a lot of acorns have dropped and hopefully souring after this rain and cold front. Out here in Parker county bucks are already swollen and chasing does - should be a good weekend with a bit of early morning cold temps!
