MLD/ Online Lic

Coming in to hunt Friday on a MLD ranch. I'm a nonres, and don't have a lic yet. Thinking I can save some time purchasing lic online since I don't think I need the physical tags. Is this true/legal?

can show your license off your phone now, so to answer your question Yes

It must be different for MLD cause on texas private/public land we are able to carry the license email on our phone, but if you kill something you better have a tag available to put on the animal.

Display of Licenses on a Mobile Device

Starting on September 1, 2019, it will be legal to display an image of information from TPWD’s website or a photograph of a hunting, fishing, or combination license on a wireless device for the purpose of verification of possessing a valid license. You must have your physical license for any activities requiring tags.

Buy your online licenses. Make sure you have taken your Hunter Ed course if you aren’t grandfathered....they have full online courses (links on TPWD website).

if you kill something, you will use one of the ranch’s MLD tags.
