Game cam recommendations

Looking for suggestions on what game cam I should get for around $100. I know it won’t be the best for that price but that’s what I’m looking to spend.
Also thinking about getting a handheld SD card viewer so any recommendations on that would be appreciated.

There's discussion in the Hunting Gear forum on most any kind of game camera. https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/forums/14/1/hunting-gear

Just use an SD Card reader you plug into your phone. $15-$20.

Have had pretty good luck the past few years with Moultrie A25's I believe. Run on AA's. We have 6 of them I think, bought them all on clearance at cabelas and Walmart over the last couple years, some around $100 some as low as $60. Take good pictures and have lasted pretty well, but like everything else wood peckers will f*&$ them up!

I needed another camera to put up at my other place for security after someone busted the lock off the gate and was on my place. I figured they would not be back but left it up for a month then moved it to a feeder. I bought a 10 mp Tasco for $38.88 at Walmart to try, bought it for the price since I was worried it might get stolen. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Tasco-10MP-Camo-Low-Glow-Trail-Camera/318684652
For the money it takes decent pics and lots of them with very few false triggers on non-game animals. The night photos are a bit grainy but still able to tell what the buck is and count the points. Battery life is really good...same battery since early July in the camera. Trigger speed is ok since I am using it on a feeder. I have it on a short delay setting of 1:15 or 1:30 seconds IIRC.

I run mostly Covert's but also have had lots of good luck out of the Browning's that I put on Water holes. Batteries last for ever and always took great pic

I’ve had Stealthcams for the past 7 years. I can honestly say that I have had zero trouble out of them. I purchased 1 wild game innovations last year. After the first week out, it had zero pictures and condensate behind the LCD display. Do not buy Wildgame Innovations...please.

I'm the exact opposite, stealth cam is absolute junk, and not user friendly at all. For $80, I have bought the rival 20, and mirage 18 from wildgame innovative, and they've been stellar cameras. I have 20 cameras, and only have had one wildgame bite the dust.
Wildgame is having a sale on their website, I bought the camera, battery, and card for $80.

I’ve had huge success with Moultrie the last 3 years. I think it’s the A30

FYI...

I bought 2 Wild Game Innovations a few years ago

They’re still going strong.

I would have rather bought one of them

Instead tried the Primos bang

Tractor Supply tends to have good deals on cameras. I have a wide assortment of cameras and the easiest and one that tends to only get critters and isnt taking a pic every time the shadow on the feeder moves in the Wild Game Innovations ones i have. There was one combo set at Tractor Supply i bought that had the batteries and card with it for i think around 75.
