Deer on right was killed a few years ago - scored 194. Named him Crip (he had a bad knee all his life)

The one on the left was killed last season - scored 185. Named him Crip Jr. for obvious reasons.

We let our good bucks get mature before we take them - 6.5 to 8.5 years old on average. Due to this I think our better bucks pass their traits on - Low fence

If you hadn’t said differently, I’d would have said that’s the same buck from different years.

Yes. Heritability is strong in that deer herd, tlk! We see it on our place, too.

Yes sir. We've got the split G2 and G3 running our place as well.

Those two are gorgeous, and definitely related!

You can see traits in your buck lines most places. I don't have pics with me, but I killed two bucks on our place 22 years apart with markedly similar racks (several acorn points, wider than our avg, long dog catchers, short beams).
