29* with a heavy frost, feeder went off at 650, no deer seen yet...
Saw a spike and another buck who looked to have already shed
yesterday evening, he was definitely missing them from the pedicels.

Used to have a lease off 501 toward Pontotoc. Great area. I blew the motor on my ol 65 Chebby pickup coming into Cherokee late one friday night (like 1 am) before opening morning (long before cell phones), I noticed a few trucks parked outside of a small service station with a light on in the garage, I knocked and out came 5 or 6 old drunk guys that were in there playing poker, told them I was across the road from Frosty Millers place and they helped me load my stuff into their truck and off we went, from one ditch to the other the whole way, thankfully they got me there alive. Luckily I had a buddy meeting me and he was already at the camp wondering where the hell I was, so we went and pulled my truck on to the lease and he had to take me home to Dallas then drive himself back to Texas Tech on Sunday. Love that area, I have some great memories there with my Dad. If you ever here about an opening on a lease around there, I would love to hunt that area again.
