7.5 back teeth look really wore down and the dentine is wide on the rest of the teeth

Finally, someone tries. I figured with all the deer experts that this would be a hot thread.

Old AF. I have seen spoons with sharper points than those teeth. 8.5 assuming he is protein fed and not eating gravel. Those pre-molars are gum-line nubs.

Bumping this in case anyone else wants to give their input.

This method of aging varies a great deal depending on area and browse, but that deer is old (8.5+) no matter the area IMO. I've never seen teeth worn that badly in our area with our deer being primarily on pellets, cottonseed, and corn.

That deer could be 10+ if you are heavy supplemental feeding.

You have a pic showing the leftside of jaw. This side appears to have some unusual wear with every tooth sloping at an angle.

I'd have to go take pics of it, but the other jaw did the same thing. I thought it was odd too that the teeth angled down like that on both sides, and not worn flat.

With abnormal toothwear like that one it is difficult to age them sometimes for me. That angle could be making it appear older than what the deer really was. I found this on the internet a couple of years ago now so it might help.
