Figured I’d post up some pics and see what y’all think. Hopefully the pictures show up. For reference I got an 8 pointer last year that was around the same main frame size so I’m pretty sure he’s 17” or so wide.

I wouldn't expect much ground shrinkage on that one!

I’d guess 170 class and he looks much wider than 17”s to me.

5.5 and upper 160's. Looks closer to 18-19 wide to me

Well I’ve now seen him twice. 2 evenings ago I was bow hunting. He walked by about 45 yards away and never stopped. I never had a shot.

This morning I rattled up a STUD of an 8 pointer but knowing that this deer was still around I decided to pass. This evening I was sitting on the ground with my rifle. About 5 minutes after shooting light I was waiting for my wife to come get me and the big 12 walked right in front of me 5 or 6 yards away. Talk about the ultimate test of self control. I still had my thumb on the safety and the rifle was pointed in his general direction already.

Well I guess that’s what makes it exciting. You never know what’s gonna happen. I gotta say though he’s even more impressive up close. Sure hope I can get my hands on him.

He looks to be upper 150's to low 160's from those pics.

Well I got him. I took him in to get measured. Official score came out to an even 160”
