Wondering how far everyone will be driving to get to their hunting grounds. It’s 257 miles from Plano to my front gate in Concho county, which is where I’m heading tomorrow.
It’s 110 miles to the front gate in Jack county.
I know there’s a lucky few will say 0 miles. I envy y’all.
Regardless how far you have to go, here’s to safe travels for everyone

About 70 miles from doorstep to the blind

354 miles to Wheeler, TX land. A additional 27 to get to the house I stay in. Every bit of the drive is worth it going there. It’s the drive back the gets me.

I am lucky I live on one place and it is only 300-350 yards to one blind and maybe 1/2 mile to the another one. My other place is 52 miles from my house and then 400 yard walk to blind. When I hunted Mule Deer in Pecos County it was little over 400 miles to HQ on the ranch.

I live on the ranch.

171 miles. The last 24 miles down caliche roads. I can be in a stand within 3 hours of leaving including one stop and turning on the hunting cabin and RV. I'm pulling out in about an hour. Can't wait. One of my lease members is bringing his son to try for first buck. Have several good culls on camera and once I pull the cameras today we will make a game plan for tomorrow. I want it for him so bad...it's what it's all about for me.
