May not be hunting in Shorts Nov. 3rd!!!!! after all - 10/30/18 09:16 PM

For a while I thought I'd be hunting in Shorts come this Saturday. It was 83 when I ran to Academy during lunch today here in League City.

Its always a few degrees cooler at our place in East Texas.

Looking at the weather we have a cool front coming in. High 50's during the day, lower 40's at night along with a chance of rain. I have a good dry box blind to hunt if it rains.

I really don't care, I'm off work next week and ready to get away and hunt for a few days. I haven't had time to bow hunt with work and other stuff. Didn't matter its been to dang hot to set on ladder stand most days this month anyway.

Still have a few things to do, dang pigs emptied one of my feeders at one of my bow stands. Plant to head out Thursday after work and work out of the house a few hrs Friday morning then cut out.
Will get that feeder filled the pigs go to Friday mid day if I can get shook loose from work. Plan to take my trailer with my 4 wheeler to camp and drop it off. I'm lucky my lake house is only about 35 min from the gate to our lease. I get to sleep in my own bed, which isn't all that bad, but would rather say at the camp. May get a old travel trailer and leave it next year.

I still have a few things to get done, but this work stuff keeps getting in the way.

Better get ready, its getting close.

Thanks, Billy

Good hunting to you. I won't be out there opening weekend, but sometime in the week after; west of the Pecos. I'm still packing some shorts.

I might be in shorts now! High was 64 and they changed it to 74. Up near OK border west of DFW. And added some rain Sat night so can't leave anything sitting outside now.
