Hunting Blanco County - 09/18/18 12:33 AM

We have a deer lease in Blanco county between stonewall and Johnson city, last time I went up there it was super dry and all the tanks were empty. Was wondering if there has been much rain up there in last months and a half??

Some areas around there got between 4.5 to over 8 inches in the last two weeks, according to the LCRA hydromet website.

Google weather underground. Lots of weather stations in that area to get a good idea of the rain amounts. Some have aggregate info, some don't.

We're in Round Mountain, and we got at least 4" of rain (we have rain gauges in different locations). That said, we were surprised at how little impact the rain had on our depleted tanks, and assumed that the ground was SO dry out there that a good part of the rain got absorbed vs. flowed into the tanks.
