Wondering if anyone has ever participated in the deer hunt on Richland Creek? It isn't too far from me and I'm thinking about putting in for it on the draw hunt this year. But I'm not sure if it is worth my time. So if you have any first hand knowledge I'd like to hear about it.

I did some hog hunting there last spring. I visited twice and saw four to five deer all out in the open each visit. Deer were spotted on both the North and South unit. Two hunters also bagged a 150 lb hog while I was there. I signed up for Gus Engling and won the anterless category. It is just down the road.

The hunt your looking at is early November so that's good. This is a 5 day hunt and cost is $130 I stick mainly to three day $80 dollar hunts.

Last year stats:
Applicants: 886 Permits/Groups: 25 Success Rate: 33%
The more hunts one selects the better chance they will be picked.

Hunted it 3 times over the years. Yes, it is worth your time to hunt it.
