Need more information before we can tell you even a close figure to what leases are going for. 1. number of acres 2. number of hunters 3. water on property
We have been hunting in the Seymour and Throckmorton area for the past 9 years. Which is an hour west of Jacksboro. We started out at $1500 a gun and now have increased to the whopper check I cut last week of $2500 which is around $15 an acre. In my opinion Jack County should be around $1500-1750 a gun based on the numbers of deer but the hunting industry has exploded and the leases are worth as much as people will pay for it. Folks will mail checks sight in seen and show up in October with a trailer full of stands.
If you like the looks of the place and the price is in your budget you better sign and cut a check fast.
Friend of mine has 700 acres across the highway. Hes been charging 3 guys $1500 a gun. Told me he's raising it this next season to $2500 a gun. Supply and demand.

The new price is a very reasonable amount being close to DFW, a little over $10 per acre.
Jack can be pricy to lease, depending on where it is at. If you don’t want to lease. My uncle is selling 77 acres on 199 right past Joplin in jack. Hate to see it go. It takes me 36 minutes to get on the land from azle.
