Goodbye deer season

Well another season gone and no trophy this season. I passed some great deer this year so maybe next season will be the one. Hunted this morning is was magical outside. 22 degrees and super still. Had a huge burly boar come in but it was to dark. Then tons of young deer. Watched a 2yearold spike for 10 mins and finally decided I'd finish out with him. I don't usually shoot spikes at 2 but man I have so many young bucks. Just lots of deer this year. Soooooo Thwack!!

I always start and end my season with a huge breakfast that morning and a big fat cigar that evening. I openly give thanks to God I get be so blessed to hunt and be free. I look forward to next year.

Depressing for me also but now will spend a bit more time taking out the hogs.
