Old Guy Down - 12/19/17 04:19 AM

I have been watching this deer for years and took him out last week. At least 8 1/2. Scored 147, he was a 160+ at one time.

The epitomy of a post-mature buck. He might have ridden on the Ark! Great buck, OP! Congratulations!

Big ole buck, congrats!

Any reason yal didn't shoot him in his prime?

Re: Old Guy Down - 12/19/17 05:34 PM

We really only saw him on camera, he was almost always Nocturnal. He slipped up in his old age I guess this year. He was spotted a couple times over the past couple of years but not by folks that were allowed to shoot him.

Good job on harvesting that old buck. I like that he had a long life passing on his genes and was harvested rather than suffering, weakening, and wasting away.

Now that is a trophy deer right there! I would shoulder mount him and put a few framed trail cam pics from his past, on the wall next to him.
