It was fairly slow on the ranch but we got lucky on a few. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks as we are starting to see some harassing by the younger bucks. Full rut should be here around the weekend before Thanksgiving (which is typical at my place).

Slow? Lol looks good to me. We shot 5 hogs and trapped a coon and saw less than 20 deer all weekend nothing of merit, that is what I call slow.

Temps in the mid 90's and a full moon bright enough I could reed a book with no light that rose around 7;30 pm and set after sunrise... I wasn't to surprised.

That is a heck of an opener. Very nice bucks

I guess slow is relative... We hunt 2400 acres in Brady that hadn't been hunted in several years when we took over the ranch. The first year was like a zoo and you could literally tag out in a weekend. We did get some nice ones this weekend but didn't see much else. Full moon and heat had them bedded down.
