For reference, the deer below either had the same momma or daddy. He was almost identical, right down to the point on his left base. I called him low to mid 40's from trailcam photos. He scored 158 2/8. Killed in 2015. I hope I'm fooled as badly by this one!
This is going to be fun to hear back on. Original impression is low to mid 150's, but he's bigger than the one the young man shot, so may get a 160+ surprise. Toad of a mature buck!
We're going to start hunting him Saturday, November 18th. He's off-limits until then. I've got a week to get it done. The 13 year old has hunted with me hard for three years, always for a specific deer, which I told him is one of the hardest things to accomplish. But that's always been his choice. Hope I can get him on this deer as we've not gotten it done previously.
I like that one. Alot of attitude in that beafy body. Could be a 6 year old buck or older. I skip the antlers when they get that kind of stature and just hunt the old man. To kill old bucks. They are majestic and carry strong memories. He's a bull.
