Who else is in the stand this morning?

Actually got here early like I wanted. Seemed like every morning hunt last year I was having to sneak into the stand as the sun was coming up. First morning hunt of the season. Got lots of morning activity on the camera, so I'm hoping to see a bunch of deer this morning.

I'm in the killin tower just waiting for the sun to come up.

I made it out this morning after a late night getting home from great wolf lodge. I don't know how some of you live in Dallas with all that traffic..lol..good luck to everyone

I'm glad I don't. Our little corner of the meteoplex is a great place to be. Luckily, I'm on the side of the meteoplex that our place is. Less than an hour to the gate.

Anyone else seeing anything? I'm beginning to think I will only see anything during my afternoon hunts

I'm in with my daughter trying to put her on her first buck. Saw a legal 8 about 16 wide a little after 7 but the corn didn't hold him in the sendero long enough to get a shot.

Also saw a spike and a big bodied buck chasing a doe at about 450 yards but couldn't tell anything about him.

Seeing a lot of mosquitoes also. B&C mosquitoes!

Just got here. Slept in. Not much to miss, seems like. Other than a large spike, haven't seen much but hogs and varmints.

Wind is blowing 15-20 with gusts to 30. Don't think it's gonna' happen for me this morning. I'm hunting Comal county tomorrow through the weekend, then a friends high fence ranch next week. I really don't need to kill anything here at the homeplace.

Havnt seen a single thing all morning. Planning on staying all day, but we'll see.

We are out now, likely north of most of ya'll in SW OK. Consensus among me and my friends who hunt is afternoons have been generally better over the last week. Deer have been out early afternoon in many cases, like 2-3.

Only a spike so far

Slow morning hunt. Nothing moved till almost 8 and the 2 doe and 1 young buck. They did not stay around long at all.

I'm in. Left house at 415, stopped at buccees for muffin and sandwich. got to gate at 555, Athens area. haven't seen nothing, heard one shot.

I'm still sitting, but havnt seen a thing.

But I did doze off for an hour.

oh man this stinks! I'm sitting here reading ya'll notes on being out there hunting. First Thanksgiving in 20 years I'm not out today and won't be out Friday.
I gotta find another job!!!

I'm in! Wind is howling and its 68 degrees. Figured I would hunt ahead of this rain. Won't be able to come back until Sun morning which by the forecast I won't be missing much. Looks like 4+ inches of rain next 2 days. Sunday might be glorious!

Seen a small spike, and just watched a very nice buck trot across a small opening. Just enough time to see if with my binoculars. Maybe 50 yards away. Hope he comes back.
