Injury or Genetics?

Either way this is my fiance's target buck this year. Either this guy (I count 10pts), or his running buddy (9pt). She really likes the ugly one. He's a big bodied deer and shows up pretty regularly. How do you think his horns got that way?

Broke the main beam during the velvet stage....probably from a TC spooking him under the feeder and hit a leg of the feeder in early July peep Definitely an injury in the velvet stage in June to early July.

Yep, looks positively like 2x4 damage peep

Would make a cool mount of some kind.

So next question.. would you shoot him? My fiance is all excited about him and he's one of the bigger bodied deer I've seen this year.
